Android Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Q2 2024: US Market Snapshot

In the second quarter of 2024, the US market has witnessed interesting trends among the top fitness and weight loss apps on the Android platform. Here's a snapshot of their performance, with insights from Sensor Tower.

Fitia - Diet & Meal Planner saw a consistent revenue trend, starting the quarter strong at around $286K and closing at about $215K. Downloads began at nearly 4K and peaked at over 2K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users started at approximately 9K, dropping to around 6.9K.

BetterMe: Health Coaching experienced fluctuating revenue, with a high of $308K in the first week, dipping to $185K mid-quarter, and rebounding to about $246K. Downloads for the app showed a similar pattern, starting at over 2K and ending the quarter at about 1.3K. The app's weekly active users peaked at 7.7K in early June, after starting the quarter with roughly 7.5K users.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike maintained a steady revenue stream, starting at $325K and ending at $215K. Downloads hit a high of 681 in late April, while weekly active users saw a high of over 16K towards the end of June.

Dancefitme: Fun Workouts showed a notable increase in revenue from $101K to $141K throughout the quarter. Downloads spiked significantly in early June, reaching nearly 800, compared to the 305 at the quarter's start. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 712 and reaching 1.1K in early June.

Lastly, Freeletics: Fitness Workouts saw its revenue peak at $186K mid-quarter before settling at $140K. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users hovered around 2K throughout the quarter.
